Nici returns to the XLeague Final Series against Sissy after winning the Qualifying Series against her Dad, Harry, by 3-0 wins.

Nici (11-13) went into Game 2 of the first-to-3 series with a 1-0 head start she had earned by beating Harry (10-14) in the final at-board of the Round Robin Series.

Nici started the evening with a dominating performance, outplaying Harry for a 4-1 win to put the pressure on her Dad.

Harry was forced to play defence early on as Nici quickly saved pawns of both of her colours. Although Harry was able to put pressure on his froggy daughter’s pawns, the die would not give him the numbers he needed.

Nici had seven match points with her fourth red pawn’s only PWL but it was match point number 3 for her green team that finished the game and their third PWL after 34 minutes of play on a “1”.

Game 3 turned out an hour-long battle in which Harry seemed to get back to winning ways when he got his fourth yellow pawn on a PWL. However, Harry ran out of luck when it matters and missed three match points before getting kicked out from the last field in front of home.

Subsequently, Nici quickly moved her third and fourth green pawns towards home so that her only PWL started three quarters around the track. Right at the hour mark, Nici converted her third match point on a “1”.

The Final Series is scheduled to begin on Saturday. Defending XLeague Winner Sissy (15-9) will enter the first-to-4 series with a 1-0 head start. Ever since her abysmal 0-8 start, she has won an incredible 15-of-16, including eight straight against Nici.

Last year, Sissy won the Final Series against Nici by 4-1 wins.
