Sissy is the winner of the 2024 World Championship. On Thursday evening, she converted her fifth championship point to win Game 16 the series 10-3-3.

It was a rather unspectacular game compared to the two games played last weekend for which Harry has to take the blame.

With his wife requiring only one more win and holding a big overall lead, Harry seemed to have lost faith in staging a miraculous comeback.

Instead of joining forces with Nici, he seemed to focus on not falling behind his froggy daughter in order to at least defend second place in the Medal Race.

Accordingly, Nici had a hard time moving her pawns around the track and Sissy got her black pawns home. Only when he had saved two red pawns, thus bringing him in a position superior to Nici, Harry decided to go after Sissy’s pawns to try and pull out the win for himself.

When Sissy moved her third black pawn in the house from field (a) to (b), she had her fourth black pawn almost two thirds around the track. After 1:17 hours of play, a “1” clinched her a sixth straight single-game win and yet another trophy for her cabinet.

Sissy has won each of the six “Majors” played in the history of XMädn and completed her second Royal Triple Crown. She had clinched her second “Medal” already before the World Championship. It will be presented to her at the traditional XMädn New Year’s Eve Banquet.

Seven out of nine tournaments won this year speaks volumes of utter domination. Ever since its inauguration two years ago, Sissy has held the top spot of the World Rankings and is mathematically guaranteed to keep it until around the end of May next year.

With the 2024 Season in the books way earlier than expected and the XLeague not scheduled to continue before 14 December, XMädn might choose to add a non-ranking tournament to bridge the time.

A press conference is expected to be held within the next few days. It is also expected that some changes for the next season will be announced.
