Sissy will take the minimum lead into the final two scheduled games of the 2025 GP World Series to take place this coming weekend.
Her quest to three-peat suffered a severe blow in Game 10 when, for the first time in her career, she had to put up with minimum points in a game played under GP rules while Harry finished his colours in first and third place, thus cutting his deficit from 14 to 1.
Sissy had taken over sole possession of first place in Game 3 and ever since had a lead of at least 7 GPP and up to 14 GPP after Game 8 and Game 9 with her eyes set on the trophy she had won both in 2023 and 2024.
Three days ago, Sissy doubled her overall lead to 14 GPP when she scored both the tenner and the bonus-GPP in fourth place and then was happy to defended that lead on her birthday, sharing Game 9 with her husband.
But today, on his own birthday, Harry brought himself back in a position where he has a good chance to not only snap his streak of 13 ranking tournaments not won but also to win his first “Major”.
Harry has not won a ranking tournament since the 2024 Winter Masters. Still, as did not finish any of the last 10 ranking tournaments below joint second place, he has not fallen too far behind second place in the World Rankings and will climb to that spot if he wins the GP World Series.
Nici, meanwhile, has been struggling with her form ever since winning her first “Major” at the 2025 World Masters. She did score max points in Game 6 but stayed under 10 GPP in eight of the ten games played. With a deficit of 34 GPP to her Mom, her only slim hope will be to force extra games.
Games 11 and 12 are scheduled to be played this Saturday and Sunday. In case of a tie for first place, an extra game shall be played at Monday Night MÄDNess.
