Nici is 2024 Challengers Champion!
Ending months of frustration, Nici won her first XMädn tournament since last August on Sunday.
With her latest two wins, Nici became the 2024 Challengers Champion, her first ever double-threat title, and also reclaimed the top spot in the 2T Rankings.
In the first at-board of the day, Nici convincingly beat her Dad, Harry, to move within one win of the title.
In Game 10, Sissy missed five match points with her black team. Right after Sissy got her fourth yellow pawn into match-point position, Nici converted her third match point on a “1” for green.
After having the next weekend off, Nici will have to defend her top spot on in the 2T Rankings at the 2024 Double B-Day League on 29 and 30 July.
